Schloss Prielau.

Just a few steps from the northern shore of Lake Zell, set in an idyllic park, Schloss Prielau awaits – a place full of history, hospitality and special charm. The former residence of Hugo von Hofmannsthal’s family was first documented in 1425 and has been owned since 1980 by the Porsche family, who had the estate converted into a unique country hotel and event venue.

Today the castle is run by Anette and Andreas Mayer, whose personal commitment and attention to detail create an atmosphere that is equally inviting for celebrating, meeting and simply enjoying. With 7 stylish double rooms, 2 luxurious suites and an apartment in the Fischerhaus, Schloss Prielau welcomes overnight guests who appreciate the special flair of this boutique hotel in luxurious country-house style.

The castle and the adjoining castle park offer versatile options for seminars, conferences, workshops, company parties and private celebrations. The historic rooms can be arranged flexibly and create an atmosphere that is the perfect setting both for focused work and for festive occasions. Whether a conference, meeting or gala dinner – the castle impresses with modern technical comfort, exclusive furnishings and first-class service.

A culinary highlight is the gourmet restaurant MAYER’s, renowned well beyond the region, which treats its guests to fine award-winning (toque-rated) cuisine. This is complemented by the Schlossküche, where breakfast, lunchtime snacks and coffee specialities are served. On the sunny terrace overlooking the castle park, you can not only enjoy the peace and quiet but also watch the red deer from the estate’s own herd – an extraordinary setting for receptions, breaks or get-togethers.

After a successful seminar day or a celebration, the rustic bathhouse with sauna, steam bath and massages provides relaxation. Anyone looking for an exclusive wedding venue in Salzburg will also find the ideal place in Schloss Prielau: romantic celebrations with up to 300 guests are possible here, amid the picturesque surroundings of Lake Zell.

Whether a business event, seminar, incentive or private celebration – at Schloss Prielau on Lake Zell, history, hospitality and exclusivity come together to create an unforgettable experience.
